Let me start by saying I am, without a shadow of doubt, the luckiest woman on the face of the planet. I am with a kind, caring, dedicated, ambitious, sexy man who for the last year has been telling me every day that I'm beautiful, sexy and smart.

Every day, even when I'm feeling terrible, when my sinuses are filled to the brim with congestion, and my eyes are puffy.

Like most heavy set girls I had some pretty deep-running self esteem issues. Sometimes those old stinging words from childhood can come bubbling up like a geyser. You don't even realize it's happening until you've found yourself wallowing in old freshly remembered pain.

He's been doing a lovely job of beating these days back.

Recently I had a commission of doing a drawing that wasn't my normal thing, and I loved it.

I can't show this commission, as the buyer asked it be kept private, but it did inspire me. After some thought I came to the conclusion that I want to do more pin-ups of curvy, gorgeous girls. Girls who are a bit different from the normal 'beauty'. I've discovered in myself that beauty is a state of mind, not of being... but feeling beautiful can often encourage this confidence.

It's my hope to help encourage those other fluffy girls out there to feel more confident.
